Our Faith
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the center of our Faith, the only eternal Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of virgin Marry (Matt. 1:18, Is. 7:14; Gal. 4:4) as the Word became a Jewish man in Nazareth as a true history in the family line of King David (Jn. 1:14; Matt. 1:1-7; Luke 3:23-38). Two Natures the Divine and the Human are united without confusion, unchangeably, indivisibly, and inseparably in the Person of Jesus Christ (Phil. 2:6-11). Our Lord Jesus Christ manifested His divinity in His Gospel teachings and in His many miracles which no other man did, in which He revealed Himself as the Lord of the visible world, the Lord of human nature, the Lord of the invisible world, and the Lord of Life and Death. He also manifested His divinity through other signs and miracles that occurred at various moments of His life (Heb.1:5-6; Luke 1:30-37; 2:6-7; Mt. 3:16-17; Mk. 2:1-12 Mt. 28:19; Jn. 10:30; Luke 22:70; Mk. 2:28; Jn. 17; Mt. 1:21-23). Also, He fulfilled all the Old Testament prophecies. As Man, the Savior was exposed to various dangers, deprivations and tribulations to malice, humiliation, and persecution during His earthly life. He suffered and died for our sin, bearing its guilt and penalty on the cross. He descended into Hell, where He freed the souls of the righteous who had awaited His coming, and was raised physically from the dead on the third day by the power of His divinity (Ps. 16:10. Act. 2:27; 26:35; Rom. 1:4). Having accomplished our Redemption, Our Lord, Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father and will come to judge the world on the last day ((1 Thess. 4:13-18; Ezek. 37:24-28; Dan. 2:44; Rev. 19-20).
-
We believe that God is a Spirit (John 4:24; John 1:18; I Kings 8:27) the only self-existent being in and of Himself and is not derived from anything. We believe God not only generally reveals Himself in creation, history (Acts 17:28; Rom 1:18-20, 2:14-15), but also in special revelation of His written Word and His Son Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 2:13-14).
-
We believe in One God in Three Persons, Who in the Holy Scriptures are called God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All Three Persons of the Holy Trinity equally exist in Divinity (John 5:7; Mat. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Deut. 6:4; Is. 45:5).
-
We believe that God is sovereign (Ps. 22:28; 115:3; Eph. 1:11), Creator of all things (Gen. 1:1; Ex. 20:11), who created and sustain the invisible and the visible world out of nothing, infinitely wise, just, good, true, loving and powerful, exclusively deserving sincere worship and absolute obedience (Gen. 1:1-25; Col. 1:17; Gen. 2:7; Job 12:10).
-
We believe that the decree of God was formed before the creation of the world (Ps. 33:6-11; Is. 46:10; Job 14:5; 2 Thess. 2:13-14) as His predestinated will to create (Deut. 32:8; Job 12:13) and have control over every person, thing and event in the created world including the salvation of men, the length of our lives and time of all world events without preclusion of man’s moral responsibility (Eph. 1:4, 11, 3:10-11; Rom. 14:12). We believe that God is even able to freely use the evilness of men under His control to a point to accomplish His good purposes. (Gen. 45:5-7, 50:19-20; Acts 2:23; Rev. 17:17).
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the holy, consubstantial, life-giving, and indivisible Trinity, being equally divine in power and glory, illuminates, regenerates, indwells, and sanctifies all believers (John 4:24; Gen. 1:2; Job 33:4). He effectually applies the redemption wrought by Jesus Christ to all God's people. The Holy Spirit participated with the Father and the Son in the creation of the world. The action of the Holy Spirit never ceased in the world, but it was only with the coming of Christ the Savior into the world that the fullness of God's saving grace was made accessible to men. And from His fullness have we all received, grace upon grace. From the charismatic moment of founding Christ's Church Pentecost to the present, the Holy Spirit abides in the Church as Christ Himself bears witness (Acts 5:3-4; 1 Cor. 2:10-11; Jn. 16:13).
-
There are Godly angels who are referred to as the angels of God (Mat. 1:20; Rev. 5:2), functions as servants of Christ (Mark 1:13), as messengers and ministers to believers (Heb. 1:14). They are cherubim (Gen. 3:24; Ezek. 10:3), and seraphim (Is. 6:2; Rev. 4:8), and among them Michael is the archangel (Dan 10:13; Jude 9; 1 Thess. 4:16).
-
The Fallen angels rebelled against God and fell from heaven as devils, demons, or evil spirits (Is. 14:12; Jude 6). Demons are able to possess unbelievers because they do not have the indwelling Spirit of God (John 13:27; Matt. 9:32). Furthermore, while believers cannot be possessed by demons (1 Cor. 6:19), the devil actively attacks and accuses them through temptation, deception, and spiritual warfare. Satan is described as "the accuser of our brethren" who accuses believers before God day and night (Rev. 12:10; cf. Zech. 3:1), and as a roaring lion seeking to devour the faithful (1 Pet. 5:8-9). Believers are called to resist him through faith and the armor of God (Eph. 6:11-12; James 4:7). They are spirits but not omnipresent, greater than man in knowledge but not omniscient, stronger than man but not omnipotent as God (Dan. 10:13; Job 1:12; Mt. 24:36; 1 Pet. 1:12; Jam. 4:7; 2 Pet. 2:11; Ps. 103:20; Mt. 22:28-30). Fallen angels are destined to spend eternity in hell without salvation (Jude 6; Mat. 25:41).
-
We believe Satan the devil, the prince of this world, is the chief leader of this rebellion against God. He fell from heaven (Is. 14:12; Luke 10:18) with his plan to keep the unsaved from receiving the Word of God (Mark 4:15; Rev. 12:9) and to destroy believers (I Pet. 5:8; Luke 22:31). The judgment was announced God in the Eden (Gen. 3:14-15) and confirmed by Christ in His earthly work in flesh (John 12:31). He will be chained in the abyss for one thousand years while Christ is in the throne millennial kingdom on earth (Rev. 20:1-3). God will accomplish Satan’s eternal judgment and throw him into the lake of fire and his life too will be in hell with his spiritual and human followers without end (Rev. 20:10; Jude 6).
1.10 We believe Jesus Christ has authority over Satan (1 John 3:8; Luke 10:18-19) and that He granted this authority to the apostles and disciples (Matthew 10:1; Mark 3:14-15; Luke 10:17), which continues to be exercised through the Church (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:17; Acts 16:18). Christ, the Lord of all creation (Colossians 2:15), empowers believers to cast out demons in His name (Luke 10:19; Acts 5:16) and promises to work with the Church until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20; James 4:7).
-
We believe that man, made in the image of God, willfully disobeyed God’s command, fell into sin, and therefore corrupted both in mind and heart, and thereby caused physical death (Gen. 1:27; 2:7; 9:6). From that time on, all human beings, unless saved by Christ, have been guilty of sin before God and are justly condemned before Him (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:10; Matt. 5:43-48; 1 Tim. 2:4; 2 Pet. 3:9).
-
We believe that man is both physical and spiritual and is attributed a body with heart, mind and soul (1 Thess. 5:23; Luke 10:27). We believe mankind and was created as male and female equal but in a Godly creation order (Gen 1:27, Mat. 19:4) with a distinction between them (Deut. 22:5; 1 Cor. 11:14-15).
1.13 We believe that salvation from sin comes to us solely by the grace of God through the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf, and still, we should work hard with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength to enter the Kingdom of God (Eph. 1:5; Jn. 3:16; Rom. 3:10-23, 5:12-21; 1Cor. 15:21-22; Eph. 2:1-7, 1:3).
-
We believe the Church, as the bride of Jesus (Rev. 21:9; Eph. 5:25), as the family of eternal God, is a group of individual believers called out of the world (1 Pet. 2:9; 2 Cor. 6:17) and separated from sin by the power of God, according to the faith in a life death and resurrection of Jesus, to be the unified body connected with the head Christ (Eph. 5:23; 1 Cor. 12:27, Rom. 12:5; Col. 1:18).
-
We believe that a church that has the right connection with the Holy Church founded which was promised and predicted by Christ and set by the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost after Jesus’s resurrection (Mat. 16:18; Acts 2:1-13). It was originally consisted of both those called out from the nation of Israel and those from other nations to be a people for His name. (Rom. 9:6-8, 24, 11:11-24; Gal. 6:15; 1 Cor. 10:6). It can refer to the universal Church (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 5:23) as well as local churches (Rom. 16:1; Gal. 1:2). The Holy Spirit, dwelling permanently in the Church, fills her with His sanctifying grace.
-
We believe the requirements for church membership in local congregations include repentant faith in the person, words and works of Jesus Christ and the public declaration of this faith through the ordinance of baptism (Acts 2:38, 41), based on a spiritual qualification and not racial, based on the teachings of Christ and not specifically on the observation of Old Testament law.
-
We believe that Jesus Christ, will come again (literally, physically, visibly) to gather His people in glory and to judge the world in righteousness. The fate of a person after death depends on how they lived their life on earth. The one who has always been with Christ and followed the will of God shall be with God after death (1 Cor. 15:24-28, Rev. 21-22). We believe all the believer from all ages will all be resurrected in renewed, perfect bodies existing in glory with the Lord forever (1 Jn. 3:2; Rom. 14:10; 2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Cor. 3:11-15, 4:5). In His judge seat in heaven (2 Cor. 5:10; Rom14:12), our Lord will judge and give accountability of the conduct of all believers’ lives on earth. Eternally worthy works will be given rewards (1 Cor. 3:8; Mat. 5:12) and crown (1 Thess. 2:19 2 Tim. 4: 8 James 1:11 Pet. 5:42) while worthless works will be burnt up (1 Thess. 4:13 - 5:6; 2 Thess. 2:1; 1 Cor. 15:35-49).
-
We believe that 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, being breathed out by the Spirit of God through human authors, is the very Word of God written, which is profitable for equipping God's people for finishing good work (2 Peter 1:21; Tim. 3:16). Holy Scripture has been formed by the authority of the ancient Christianity Church and apostles and should be interpreted under the authority of the Church. We believe in all the teachings in Holy Scripture as truth, trust in all its promises. We believe the Bible is trustworthy and infallible (John 17:17; Titus 1:2; Ps. 12:6), complete and sufficient, capable and enough for guiding all Godliness in this life (2 Pet. 1:3; 2 Tim. 3:17). All special revelation of Scripture has ceased after the book of Revelation (1 Cor. 13:8). We should not add anything to or take anything away from the sealed Scripture (Rev. 22:18-19).
